Can you emulate Pokemon games on Steam Deck?

Fortunately, gamers can emulate Pokemon games on Steam Deck with crisp pixel quality and handheld ease. For starting the emulation process, it’s recommended to use programs such as EmuDeck, which is a frontend that will place game files into the Steam Library. Players will need an external mouse and keyboard to make a seamless experience. Here’s how to start the emulation process for Pokemon games:

  • Turn on the Steam Deck and hold the power button until the power menu shows on the screen. Select the widget that displays “Switch to Desktop” in order to access the desktop options.
  • On a computer, find the EmuDeck page and download it. After downloading it, press on the file manager in the taskbar and travel to the widget that shows “Downloads” on the left side of the menu. Press and place the EmuDeck program from the “Downloads” widget into the desktop.
  • From there, gamers can run the program, which will then begin downloading data. There will be options such as an easy or hard mode, and it’s suggested to use the easy path, if you don’t want to deal with specific fine tuning options for the program. Installation may be processed in almost ten minutes but this action is also reliant on the quality of the Wi-fi connection.

After the installation is completed, gamers can open Steam ROM Manager and press the widget that displays “Generate App List.” After this process, Pokemon fans can enjoy the games on the Steam Deck.
