Street Fighter 6: Pre-load times for each platform revealed
Street Fighter 6 is set to be released on June 2 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. With the Street Fighter franchise being one of the highest-grossing video game franchises of all time, this latest installment into the series is set to be one of the biggest video game releases of 2023.
If you have yet to get your pre-orders in, there is still time to do so. However, you will have a couple of decisions to make. You first need to decide which edition you are going to want to purchase. This will depend on how much money you are willing to spend and if the added bonuses that you will receive seem worth it to you. The other decision that you are going to need to make is if you plan on buying Street Fighter 6 as a physical disc or via a digital download.
When will you be able to pre-download Street Fighter 6?
If you plan on buying the physical copy of Street Fighter 6, you don’t have to worry about pre-downloading the game. Physical copies don’t allow such a thing since you won’t get the physical copy of the game until the official release date. However, if you have bought the game digitally, that is a different story all together.
For those who have purchased Street Fighter 6 digitally on a PlayStation platform, you have the luxury of pre-downloading the game starting on May 31. If you purchased the game digitally on PC, your pre-download date will be June 1. As far as Xbox players go, there still doesn’t seem to be a definite pre-load date, but it is safe to assume that it will be either May 31 or June 1. The expected file size of Street Fighter 6 is expected to be around 50-60 GB depending on which platform you plan on playing on.
If you are new to pre-downloading video games and didn’t know exactly what it means, let me explain. Pre-downloading allows you to install the game on your desired platform early as long as you purchased the game digitally. This benefits the gamer largely as you are able to bypass all of the downloading the day of release and do it a day or two in advance.
If pre-downloading Street Fighter 6 is something that interests you, you will be able to do so in the next handful of days before the game is released.
