Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, a faithful remake of MGS3, will feature David Hayter as the voice of Snake, according to Konami.
After years of rumors regarding a new MGS title/remake, fans rejoiced when the iconic character appeared on the screen during the PlayStation Showcase on May 24. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam. Immediately, fans were worried that Snake and other characters would have new voice actors. While some liked Kieffer Sutherland as Big Boss in The Phantom Pain, to many Snake is David Hayter.
According to a post from Konami on the official Metal Gear Twitter account, the original voices from MGS3 will remain the same.

What remains to be seen though, is if Hayter and other actors will reprise their roles for updated dialogue or if it will just be the original dialogue remastered with new visuals.
“The story and character voices in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater remain the same from the original game,” Konami said. That doesn’t answer our question one way or the other, but regardless the voices from the original will be in the new game. Fans might worry if the original dialogue will hold up, especially considering how well received the new dialogue and actors were in the Resident Evil remakes. Plus, Metal Gear has such a large and loyal fan base especially with MGS3.
A poorly remake of one of the greatest games of all time would be a massive letdown, and fans hope it’s executed correctly. More so considering remaking Snake Eater first as it’s the start of the story/timeline. If the plan is to remake the other entries, starting off on the right foot is key.
