Sony is set to hold a PlayStation Showcase on May 24 at 4 p.m. ET previewing what’s to come for the console. Fans expect major game announcements, perhaps Spider-Man 2 or Wolverine related, some Silent Hill information, new hardware like a PS5 Pro and more. Especially considering that there’s no E3 this year.

For fans of the console, it’s one of the most exciting times of the year. This is when we’ll find out what’s in development and when it’s coming out. There might even be some Death Stranding 2 information after it was announced at The Game Awards 2022.

As we all sit around and wait for the broadcast, fans are predicting what’s going to be showcased. Though, it got us thinking if a chatbot AI can actually predict what’s going to happen. Does the AI have the insider information? ChatGPT’s information archive is limited considering it’s only prompted until September 2021… but what about Google’s Bard?

We asked Bard: “What’s going to be presented at the PlayStation Showcase on May 24, 2023?” Here’s what it had to say:

"The PlayStation Showcase on May 24, 2023 will be a one-hour event that will focus on upcoming games for the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation VR2. Sony Interactive Entertainment has said that the event will feature “a glimpse at several new creations from PlayStation Studios, as well as spellbinding games from [their] third-party partners and indie creators.”Some of the games that are expected to be featured at the PlayStation Showcase include:God of War RagnarökSpider-Man 2WolverineHorizon Forbidden West: The Frozen WildsGran Turismo 7The Last of Us RemakeHogwarts LegacyStarfieldRedfallDeath Stranding 2Silent HillIt is also possible that Sony will announce new hardware at the PlayStation Showcase, such as a new PlayStation VR headset or a PlayStation 5 Pro. However, nothing has been confirmed yet."

PlayStation Showcase May 24 Predictions, According to AI

Well, some of Bard’s predictions are a bit off. Some of the titles listed have already been released, and for quite some time at that. Perhaps there will be some background footage of games like The Last of Us Remake, Hogwarts Legacy and Gran Turismo 7, but it’s unlikely they’ll get any heavy screen time.

Some games do stand out though and fans hope the chatbot is correct in its predictions. Starfield, Death Stranding 2, Silent Hill, Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine are some of the most anticipated video games yet to release and they could all play a strong part in this year’s PS Showcase.

Following up with the prompt, we asked Bard if there will be any major surprises. It reiterated the console and VR headset rumors, but Bard also called attention to the rumors of a new Metal Gear Solid game. That would certainly be a massive surprise that will have everyone in broadcast chats screaming “SONY WINS” among other praises.

Or even perhaps a Resident Evil 9 announcement? Resident Evil 5 Remake? Capcom has moved at a fast pace over the past couple of years with successful releases, and why not continue to capitalize on the hype surrounding the survival horror giant?

We’re all waiting in anticipation for the PlayStation Showcase and we’ll have everything covered here.
