Zora’s Domain, a.k.a. “home to the pain in the a*s water temple”, succeeds in yet again being the most frustrating part of a Zelda game. In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you’ll need to go there and investigate as part of the main mission to find the Zora King Dorephan. It’s a total P.I.T.A., but this guide below will allow you to skip it all and go right to him. You’re welcome.

When you get to Zora’s Domain as part of the main quest, head over to the right side from the middle path and you’ll find a gigantic waterfall you can’t miss. Climb up the rocks on left-hand side to get up high.  If you have one, you can also use a rocket shield to propel Link up in the air. Then, paraglide through the waterfall to hear the classic mystery area puzzle chime.

This will put you in the area called the Pristine Sanctum. For some odd reason (hint hint), there’s another smaller waterfall behind the first one. If you look up there will be a rock platform just begging to be “used”. Break out the ascend ability and shoot upward. This will put you right in the middle of the throne room the easy way without all of the needless exploration and save you a crap load of time and frustration.

After that,  you can continue with the story more easily and faster to help speed things along as Tears of the Kingdom is a behemoth of a game. Of course, if you need materials by all means go ahead and take the long way. However, you have more time to do that everywhere else and should take advantage of any shortcuts when you have the opportunity.

I hope this helps, and Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available now on Nintendo Switch.
