The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom features a number of ways to customize Link, such as a mask based on his appearance in Link’s Awakening.

In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the sequel to Breath of the Wild, players can kit out protagonist Link with various outfits and accessories. Some include special outfits, purchased or found across Hyrule, which can offer perks and buffs to Link’s stats and abilities. Some protect against extreme weather, others allow you to stick to slippery surfaces, and others are just a neat way to switch up Link’s look.

One way to change Link’s overall vibe is to customize his headwear with different hats or masks. There even exists a way to customize Link’s face with a somewhat unsettling mask that takes on the appearance of our protagonist in Link’s Awakening, the 2019 HD remake released for the Nintendo Switch.

How to get Link’s Awakening mask in Tears of the Kingdom

Players won’t necessarily need aspecial Amiibo here, like in Breath of the Wild. To get the Link’s Awakening mask in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players need to pray at any Bargainer Statue in the Depths and trade in 400 Poes.

Of course, if you do have the Link’s Awakening Amiibo, then you can obtain The Mask of Awakening by scanning it. You’ll be able to get the armor immediately, rather than save up those Poes.
