How to defeat Darth Vader in Fortnite

Another Fortnite update dropped today with new quests, rewards, and finally, Darth Vader. The iconic villain is now an NPC in Epic Games’ Battle Royale, and there is only one way you can defeat Darth Vader.

Fall of the Republic Quests, the third installment of Star Wars quests, comes with 12 new challenges for players to complete to gain more Galactic Reputation. The first quest, worth 200 Galactic Reputation, is “Help defeat Darth Vader.”

How to defeat Darth Vader in Fortnite

To defeat Darth Vader, you first must find him. The former hero of the Clone Wars spawns at the top of the map at a new outpost where the snow biome and a small patch of grassland intersect. Players can find the exact location by hovering over the quest as they look at the map.

As you approach, you will hear the Star Wars theme and see Darth Vader in the middle of the outpost (if he is still alive). All you have to do now is kill him like you would kill any other NPC Boss. Except he has a red Lightsaber.

Darth Vader has double the health and shield of a normal NPC, and he wields the best Lightsaber in the game. He can throw objects from the surrounding environment at you, as well as deal high damage from close-range with the Lightsaber as a melee weapon. Oh, and he has the power to Force jump.

Defeating Darth Vader will be easier with a squad, but if you want to tackle him on your own, be prepared for high resistance, as well as other in-game players looking to accomplish the same task.

We recommend landing there off-spawn for the best chance at defeating the villain. Plus, other players will definitely defeat him before you can rotate from across the map. Hot drop into the area, grab a DC-15 Blaster Rifle, and get to work.
