Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom: Crossing the Cold Pool quest walkthrough

The Crossing the Cold Pool side quest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is rather easy, but it can also be tricky as you’ll need to take advantage of Link’s new abilities in a rather odd way. Below, we take you through how to complete the Crossing the Cold Pool Quest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

First, you’ll want to head to Corvash Peak. It’s a cold, snowy mountain up in the northwest of Hyrule. Don’t worry, it’s not up high enough where you’ll need any frost resistance.  Just head on over. Once there,  follow the steps below:

1. Talk to Verla. He tells you he needs at least 10 chillshrooms to solve his dilemma. He needs your help to cross the pool.
2. When done talking, turn around and grab the wood planks right behind you and arrange them in the following manner: join the two long rectangles end to end. Now, take the small rectangle and throw it on the end of one long one.
3.  Grab the completed set of pieces and carry it into tje cave directly next to Verla.
4. Just inside you will find the cold pool. Drop the set of boards in the water. It’s long enough now to jump across to the other side.
5. Grab all the chillshrooms. There is also three big rocks you can break if you have the appropriate weapon.
6. Head back over and talk to Verla. He’ll thank you and give you 50 rupees as a reward.
