Oh boy, this game. Earthworm Jim was an absolute giant of a game back in the day. Dropping in 1994 it had everything necessary for a 90’s game to go huge. A colorful and heavily animated animal with a human body, loud catchphrases, difficult platforming, and inventive bosses.

It even spawned a successful sequel a year later and several remasters.

It probably would have produced more sequels if not for the fact that Earthworm Jim’s less-than-Groovy creator, Doug TenNapel, is an absolute garbage human being who’s not only transphobic and homophobic, but is also partially responsible for that Comicsgate which, if you hopefully don’t remember, were a group of men who thought that having more representation in comic books was the Kryptonite to their remarkably fragile sense of selves.

But if we look over the smoke of the dumpster fire that is Dung TenNipples we’ll see a game that was remarkably well put together by a team of very talented programmers that pushed 16-bit software to its absolute limit.

It’s also fairly difficult at times but luckily this game has a ridiculous amount of cheat codes.

Just please keep in mind that these codes are for the Nintendo Switch version of Earthworm Jim so if you’re playing on a different system you’ll have to translate this for yourself. Enjoy.
