How to learn Fortnite Force abilities: All Lightsabers Explained
The latest Fortnite update brings Star Wars to Epic Games’ Battle Royale. Like previous iterations of the popular collaboration, Lightsabers are back in the game, and this time, they come with special Fortnite Force abilities.
Many of the Fortnite Find the Force Quests require players to find and use the Force. Beyond the extra Galactic Reputation you will earn, the abilities are overpowered and will help you secure a Victory Royale.
Here’s a breakdown of how to learn the Fortnite Force abilities, and what advantages each Lightsaber brings.
How to learn Fortnite Force abilities: All Lightsabers Explained
Unlike the last Star Wars crossover, players can no longer find Lightsabers as floor loot or in chests. Instead, they must travel to any of the three Rift Gates to meet Anakin Skywalker, Darth Maul, or Obi-Wan Kenobi. The Rift Gates randomly spawn, so be sure to keep checking your map for the red, green, and blue icons.
Once you travel to the locations, interact with either your Jedi trainer or your Sith trainer. You will then enter the Rift Gate and reappear with a Lightsaber and Fortnite Force abilities.
If you are trained by Anakin Skywalker, you will emerge with a blue Lightsaber that allows you to pull objects and players toward you. Conversely, if you enter the Rift Gate with Obi-Wan Kenobi, your green Lightsaber will let you push objects and players away from you.
The best Lightsaber to wield is the red one, obtained after interacting with Darth Maul. You will have the power to lift objects around you and throw them at players, inflicting damage to their health or the structures around them.
Players can only possess the Force abilities tied to the Lightsaber they earned through training. Simply picking up a Lightsaber from your duo or an enemy will not give you the Force. Players can also only enter one Rift Gate per match.
