Nintendo Switch Online: Target Earth Cheat Codes for Sega Genesis
Target Earth is a weird little game from 1990 via the company Masaya. It’s an odd, buggy little action shooter that seems to always be in the first few waves of Genesis games to appear on a Nintendo system since the Wii Marketplace first started the trend. It’s an ambitious little fella but it’s still weird that they’re always trying to give this game out.
It’s pretty much the standard 90’s space game. Mankind is setting out to explore the stars and a big bad is gunking the gears.
There are some tricks and cheats to make the game a little easier but much like the game itself even the codes are kinda wonky and don’t always do what you want them to do.
Also, keep in mind that these codes are for the Nintendo Switch. If you’re playing it on a different system you’ll need to figure out the translation for the controller of your choice. Godspeed.
Unlock All Weapons after Stage 1
- Carry yourself through the first stage destroying absolutely nothing and shooting zero enemies with the exception of the giant green ship that’s going from the right to the left of the world very slowly. If you can destroy ONLY that, you’ll somehow unlock all the weapons. The only tricky bit is that it’s super tough to pull this off as enemies will waste no time diving in front of your bullets as you try to take out the battleship.
Invincibility
- Press + on the player 2 controller and if the game decides you did it you’ll be invincible. You might need to do this a few times as it’s finicky.
Two Player Mode
- This one’s a bit more finicky than the invincibility code and actually might TRIGGER invincibility instead of your desired response. When the very first green alien appears on screen in the first stage, press + on controller 2, and a second player will control it. It’s not a great two-player mode but it’s something weird to try.
Spin the Logo
- If, for some reason, you’d find more enjoyment in simply spinning the logo for the game, take the second player’s controller and press Y, B, and either left or right. Then on the main controller, you can use the D-pad, Y, and B to adjust the size of and spin the logo. Whee.
