Nintendo Switch Online: Light Crusader Cheat Codes for Sega Genesis

Light Crusader is an oft forgotten isometric RPG that recently was added to the Sega Genesis Channel on the Nintendo Switch Online set up.

A complex RPG filled with immersive story (unless you’re like me and get caught up shoving NPCs off high places) it is also a game with equally complex cheat codes.

We’re going to break down the Test Menu that allows you several options and from there the Test 2 Menu that will lead you to the Debug Menu and I promise this will all make sense in a bit.

Also, it should be known that these codes are for the Nintendo Switch so if you’re looking for codes for the original Sega Genesis version you’re gonna have to figure out the button translation for yourself. I believe in you.

Access the Test Menu

The Test menu allows you to see various assets of the game.

  • During the game, pause and select MODE. From the MODE screen uncheck all boxes. Then hit down multiple times until new options magically appear.

Access the Test2 Menu

What? You wanna play with even more assets of the game? Sure let’s do it. Also it features a handy option to allow you to go to any room of the game. Even the final one. Just good luck beating the final boss without the necessary items.

  • Pause the game again and select the new TEST option. From there press Up, X, Right, X, Left, X, Down, X. If you did it correctly you’ll see “TEST2” at the bottom.

Access the Debug Menu

The Debug menu is a handy thing to have as it allows you to go anywhere but also to add items to your inventory. It’s also hella game breaking so be careful.

  • Once you have Test and Test2 unlocked kill off your character so you return to the title screen. Now, under Load Select you’ll see the debug option with a ton of weird tools to play with.
