Dead Island 2 is finally out and time around we’re surviving the zombie apocalypse in the cities of Los Angeles and San Francisco. The only thing better than slaying zombies is slaying zombies while looking ridiculously stylish.

At the start of the game, Dead Island 2 offers six Slayers that you can play as. You have your choice between Amy, Bruno, Carla, Dani, Jacob, and Ryan. Each character offers a unique set of skills that can be unlocked and each of them is unique in style. However, if after a while you get tired of the same old look on one of your Slayers, you can opt to change your outfit.

As of right now, there aren’t many different outfits that you can choose from. In fact, the only characters that you can change outfits for right now are Jacob and Amy. In order to receive these outfits for Jacob and Amy, you are going to need the two Character Packs that are offered. Both Character Packs can be purchased as part of the Dead Island 2 Deluxe ($74.99) or Gold Edition ($89.99). Both of these Character Packs come with one skin and one weapon.

Character Pack 1 (Jacob)

  • Rodeo Sunset Costume
  • Devil’s Horseshoes weapon

Character Pack 2 (Amy)

  • Neurunner skin
  • Saimir & Julienne weapon

If you have these character packs already, then you might be wondering how you actually equip them to either Jacob or Amy. It is very easy to do so if you know exactly where to look. All you have to do is go to the in-game character select screen and change your outfit there.

At this moment, these are the only two outfits that you can change. As time goes on, Dead Island 2 will add more costumes and skins to equip, but these are your choices for now. If you do not own either of these Character Packs, you are going to be stuck with each Slayers current style for now. As more costumes and skins become available, you will be able to change your outfits by making your way to the in-game character select screen. I can’t wait to see what kind of costumes Deep Silver adds into the game.
