Ultimate NES Remix – $19.99

I loved this game when it first dropped. It’s a collection of challenges that require you to hop into classic NES games and achieve weird goals. Hop on enough enemies in a row in Super Mario Bros. to get a 1-up. Do a bomb jump in Metroid. Things like that.

As time goes on you’ll deal with weird altered games. You’re good at Super Mario Bros. but can you get through it if you’re dealing with a storm that’s blowing you back and you can only see the platforms when lightning strikes?

Tomodochi Life – $19.99

This game is so amazingly weird. Make Mii versions of you and your friends. Watching them live in an apartment. They talk through a charmingly bad synth device so you actually hear their dialogue and the engage in absolute madness.

Just yesterday I delighted as I was alerted to an event in the town square only to go there and find that my two kids were engaged in a rap battle. It’s absolutely fantastic and bizarre.

Puzzle & Dragons Z + Puzzle & Dragons Super Mario Bros. Edition – $29.99

If you’ve ever played the free-to-play Puzzle & Dragons, don’t worry, this one is actually good. Not only do you get a giant RPG that involves matching gameplay and monster catching, but when you’re not playing it, you can play a really bizarre version of it that involves you entering the Mushroom Kingdom and collecting characters from the Mario universe.

If you like match 3 puzzles and all that, this is a GREAT time sink.
