Marvel Snap Discard Decks are extremely popular and based around the Discard mechanic. Players utilize Discard abilities from numerous cards to amplify cards like Apocalypse, Dracula and Morbius.

Discard Decks can be difficult to pilot considering some Discard cards operate at random, but there are certain cards that can minimize risk to ensure the biggest plays possible.

Here are the best cards to use in a Marvel Snap Discard Deck.

Marvel Snap Discard Deck: Best Cards to Use

Key Power Cards

  • Apocalypse
  • Dracula
  • Morbius

Apocalypse, Dracula and Morbius are the real powerhouses of the Discard archetype. Apocalypse gets a +4 power boost every time the card is discarded. The card synergizes with Dracula because at the end of the game Dracula can Discard Apocalypse and absorb the power on the board at a Location. Dracula’s ability isn’t On Reveal or Ongoing either meaning there’s no real way to counter a 12, 16 or even 20 power drop at a Location.

Morbius as well is a great card to drop early on considering he gets +2 power every time a card is discarded. Though, keep in mind Morbius can be reverted to zero power if the opponent plays Enchantress.

Key Discard Cards

  • Lady Sif
  • Colleen Wing
  • M.O.D.O.K.
  • Sword Master

Lady Sif is going to be the best card to initially power up Apocalypse and Morbius because she automatically targets the highest cost card in your hand. There’s no risk of accidentally discarding another key card as long as you have Apocalypse and no other six-cost cards in your hand. Same goes for Colleen Wing who only targets the lowest cost card in your hand. Players want cards like Wolverine or Swarm as targets for Wing. M.O.D.O.K. is a great drop on Turn 5 because he’ll duplicate Swarm multiple times if it’s already been discarded along with getting Wolverine out of your hand. Players wanting some more discard can also use Hell Cow which will discard two random cards from your hand.

Key Tech Cards

  • Invisible Woman
  • Ghost Rider
  • Gambit

Invisible Woman is a great card to use because she prevents cards played at her location from revealing until the end of the game. She prevents any randomization in the discard pattern from ruining plays later in the game. Ghost Rider is an awesome option to bring back a card players might’ve not wanted to discard. Finally, Gambit will discard a card from your hand to destroy a random opponent card.

Hela Archetype

Hela is one of the most popular cards in the game because as a 6/6 drop, she brings back previously discarded cards at random locations at the end of the game. Hela synergizes well with Invisible Woman because players can drop Discard cards at that location to ensure Hela is playable on Turn 6. Players can opt for a deck with big power cards like The Infinaut, Hulk, Giganto and more by running Hela.
