Even though The Last of Us kicked off 10 years ago, 2023 has been one of the biggest years for the franchise to date. HBO’s television series adaptation began on January 15 and has done more than amazing so far and The Last of Us Part I for PC is set to release on March 28. There are less than three weeks to go until you are able to play Joel and Ellie’s adventure yet again, but this time on your PC.

If you plan on playing The Last of Us Part 1 on PC, you’ll want to make sure you have the right specs to run the game smoothly. Luckily, Sony has revealed the PC Specs required to run the game all the way from the Minimum settings to the Ultra settings.

If all you are looking for is to play the bottom-of-the-barrel gameplay and just to have the game run, then you can focus on the minimum PC requirements. You will still get to enjoy The Last of Us Part I, but it will be nowhere near the full potential of playing on a PC unless you elevate your PC settings a little bit.

If you really want to have the greatest experience you can possibly have with The Last of Us Part I on the PC, you can try and match your PC Specs with the Ultra PC Requirements. These settings are only capable on very powerful PCs. However, if your PC meets the requirements for Ultra settings, you will not be disappointed.

Then of course you have your two middle options of Recommended and Performance. At the very least, it is probably best that your PC reaches the recommended PC settings. The Last of Us Part I is such a beautiful story and you really don’t want to run into any problems while you play, especially if this is the first time you are experiencing the story.

With still a fair amount of time before the game launches on March 28, you still have plenty of time to decide what you want to do. You can upgrade your PC to the settings that you wish, keep your PC and play the game as best that it will run on your current PC, or buy a completely new PC. The choice is yours. However, as I said, it is probably best to at least achieve recommended settings to get a smooth experience from it.
