Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty: How to respec your Virtue

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is a newly released action role-playing game from Team Ninja. As with other games of this nature, the RPG aspects of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty allows you to create a character and customize him or her to best fit your playstyle.

As you adventure through the world of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, you’ll earn Genuine Qi for defeating standard enemies and bosses. Genuine Qi is used to level up your character’s Virtue. Virtues are split into five different elemental types — wood, fire, earth, metal and water — with each type boosting different aspects of your character’s combat abilities.

While there’s no wrong way to invest your Genuine Qi, you may find that the path you’ve been going down is no longer suitable for your playstyle. Don’t worry, the game does allow you to respec your character and reallocate the Genuine Qi you’ve earned.

In order to respec your character in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, you must first progress the main story to Part Three and complete the main mission “In Search of the Immortal Wizard.” During the mission, you’ll fight alongside Hong Jin as you track down her master Zuo Ci. After completing the mission and beating the boss Aoye, you can return to the Hidden Village and find Zuo Ci in his house at the top of the village.

Once you have Zuo Ci in the Hidden Village, you can return at any point during the game and talk to him to respect. He’ll give you the option to change your appearance, spend Accolades and Reset Parameters.

Selecting “Reset Parameters” will respec your character, resetting your Virtue and and giving you a fresh start to build your character as you’d like. There’s no cost associated with resetting your character and you can do it as many times as you’d like throughout the game.
