Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty: How to upgrade Dragon’s Cure Pot

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty officially released this week and if you’ve never played a Souls-like game, you may be in for a bit of a surprise. Although it’s technically an action role-playing game, there are certain mechanics that give it a Souls-like feel. One of those is how it handles healing.

In Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, your Dragon’s Cure Pot serves as one of the main ways to heal. It’s similar to the Estus Flask in Dark Souls. It’s a consumable that restores your HP when used.

The Dragons Cure Pot can be used multiple times during a run and can be refilled to max capacity by resting at a Battle Flag.

When you first begin your journey in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, your Dragon’s Cure Pot holds three charges. But you are able to upgrade it throughout the game, allowing it to hold more charges and heal more HP.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty – Upgrading your Dragon’s Cure Pot

There are two ways in which you can upgrade your Dragon’s Cure Pot. You can increase the maximum number of uses to a total of 10, and you can also increase the efficacy of its usage. Both will help you tremendously through your adventure.

To increase the maximum number of uses of your Dragon’s Cure Pot, you’ll need to find and use Dragon Vein Crystals. To increase the efficacy of your Dragon’s Cure Pot and heal more HP with each use, you’ll need to find and use the Dragon Vein Essence.

Both of these items are scattered throughout the levels of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty but don’t expect them to be easy to find. Although the levels of Wo Long are fairly linear, there are plenty of areas off the beaten path worth exploring. This is typically where you’ll find these.

Once you find these items, you can access them from your inventory from the Character menu and use it. The Dragon Vein Crystals will increase the max number of uses of the Dragon’s Cure Pot by 1 each time. So you’ll need to find quite a few of them to max out.
