I posted a week or two ago about Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot requiring you to delete data to install it on the Xbox Series X. I can finally and joyously amend that at last!

This also means you can play Bardock’s DLC Alone Against Fate. Here are the instructions on how to play Kakarot on Xbox Series X directly from Bandai Namco’s site as it’s way more complicated than it should ever be.

While complicated I think this game is absolutely worth the extra effort, especially to enjoy the Bardock DLC. From what I’ve played of it, it seems to lean more so into the original telling of Bardock’s story than the one for Dragon Ball Super Broly’s opening. This may be because it’s telling a deeper version of the story than just that small snippet we got as an intro to the movie but still, it’s a really great telling.

Making this upgrade also is a perfect chance to play all the DLC you may have missed and even finish up your Achievements list. Well, any reason you would want for it, it’s a perfect time to play with the better performance or look you’re seeking from something on the Xbox Series X, especially with the slim pickings in the anime department for this console. I recommend the 60fps mode. It shows the speed and hard hits of the anime much, much better than the 30fps mode in my opinion.

Alright enough of my long-winded opinions, if you’re a DBZ fan and have been waiting for this, or just want to check it out, the time is nigh! Make sure to seize it even for the base game since it’s free of charge to upgrade. So get out there and enjoy the best Dragon Ball RPG since the legacy of Goku games with the best fidelity and frame rate possible.
