Is Hi-Fi RUSH coming to the Nintendo Switch or PS5?

Earlier this week, Bethesda’s Tango Gameworks stealth dropped a new game unlike anything the developer has put out before. Hi-Fi RUSH is a rhythm action game where you must feel the beat to unleash powerful attack combos and heavy Beat Hits. It’s quite the change of pace from the studio’s history of suspenseful horror titles.

Not only was Hi-Fi RUSH introduced to the world during yesterday’s Developer Direct conference hosted by Microsoft, but it was released later that night for Xbox Series X|S, and PC via the Microsoft Store, Steam, and Epic Games Store. As it’s a first-party title, it’s also available to play through Game Pass at not additional cost.

While we’re still in the process of reviewing Hi-Fi RUSH, those who have played it have had largely positive things to say about it. And I agree with most of the positive sentiment. It’s a ton of fun and I definitely recommend you play it.

But what if you don’t own an Xbox Series X|S and don’t like gaming on PC? Is Hi-Fi RUSH available on Nintendo Switch or PlayStation 5?

Unfortunately, it’s not. Hi-Fi RUSH is a console exclusive to Xbox. And as Tango Gameworks is part of ZeniMax, a company that was acquired by Microsoft and and now part of the Xbox Game Studios family, there’s practically zero chance to ever comes to PlayStation consoles. Or Nintendo Switch for that matter. Tango Gameworks has never released any of their previous titles on Nintendo Switch, and with Microsoft pushing its first-party exclusives, I doubt they’ll start now.

So for now and for the foreseeable future, the only way to play Hi-Fi RUSH is on Xbox Series X|S or PC. The good news is it’s part of Game Pass, which means subscribing to the service for a month will let you play it for super cheap. Not that it comes with a hefty price tag anyway as it’s available for just $29.99.
