Ever since the announcement of Goldeneye 007 for Xbox and Switch platforms last year, people have been freaking out over the news of a release date. Well, that all changes today as Microsoft and Rare have announced we will be able to get our hands on the game starting January 27.

The Xbox version will be on Game Pass but remember it will NOT feature online play. Instead, it will only feature local co-op with achievements and 4K resolution. Instead, the Nintendo Switch version will feature the original version of the game via the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack and the original setup for online play from when the game was first released back in 1997.

If you own Rare Replay on Xbox, then you will simply need to download the game for free in order to play. If you don’t, then make sure you pick it up now as you also get a ton of additional games included in the price. Switch players will need to pick up the Online Expansion pack in order to check it out.

Rare made the announcement this morning as you can see by the below tweet. The article can also be read over on Xbox Wire.
