Fallout TV series: First look at Red Rocket gas station revealed
The Fallout TV series is currently in development with Amazon and has no current release date as of yet. However, the beauty of the internet has given us our first look at the Red Rocket gas station set used in filming.
It’s currently located in Nyack, NY which is about 20 minutes north of New York City just over the New York / New Jersey border. These are not any official images, but instead taken from the set that is under construction for filming. Unlike the game, there won’t be any real life nuclear refueling in the NY metro area. Like the game, however, it does match what we are used to seeing with the destroyed out cars and rust galore all over the place.
The Fallout series is going to be an entirely new story set within the Fallout universe, but it will not be a simple retelling of the same such as The Last of Us on HBO. There is a lot of logic to this decision if you think about. Fallout is famous for what happens not because of any specific character. And no, Pip Boy doesn’t count. There is no other information currently about the show, but I can tell you that I’ll be taking a little ride up to the set considering I’m living about 45 minutes away from where this is located.

The Fallout franchise has seen many games and Fallout 5 has been hotly anticipated for a while now. I wouldn’t hold your breath for it, however, as the game isn’t coming until after Elder Scrolls 6, so you’re realistically looking at about 2030. Initially, Fallout 76 saw a rocky launch, but it has come back after a series of updates. Those looking to try their hand at it, or jump back in after the updates, can pick up Fallout 76 from their platform’s game store. It is available on PS4,PS5, Xbox One and Series S/X along with PC.
