Forspoken: Does your PC meet the System Requirements?

The time for Forspoken is almost upon us. Forspoken is set to release on January 24 and gamers cannot wait to get their hands on this game. While Forspoken will be released also on PC, the game is hands down one of the most anticipated PS5 consoles exclusives to be released during 2023. If you planned on purchasing the video game on your PC, you may want to check to see if you can run the game before you purchase it.

The PC System Requirements have just been released and it has caught a lot of people off guard due to the demanding requirements that the game has.

PC System Requirements

Minimum

• OS: Windows 10 64 Bit or Windows 11 64 Bit
• CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 or Intel Core i7-3770 (3.7GHz or better)
• Video Card: AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT 8GB or Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
• Memory: 16GB
• Display Resolution: 720p, 30fps
• HDD/SSD Space: HDD 150GB or more

Recommened

• OS: Windows 10 64 Bit or Windows 11 64 Bit
• CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 or Intel Core i7-8700K (3.7GHz or better)
• Video Card: AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT 12GB or Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 8GB
• Memory: 24GB
• Display Resolution: 1440p, 30fps
• HDD/SSD Space: SSD 150GB or more

Ultra

• OS: Windows 10 64 Bit or Windows 11 64 Bit
• CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5800X or Intel Core i7-12700 (3.8GHz or better)
• Video Card: AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT 16GB or Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 16GB
• Memory: 32GB
• Display Resolution: 2160p, 60fps
• HDD/SSD Space: NVMe SSD 150GB or more

Even if you are looking to just hit some of the recommended System Requirements, you are going to be looking at 24GB of Ram and an RTX 3070 to reach that. That right there are some beefy requirements just to reach some of the recommended settings.

If you take a look at some of the minimum requirements to play Forspoken you will notice that you will need at least 16GB of Ram and a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB. A little bit more reasonable, but not everyone even has a PC that has those features.

If you really want to get the most graphically out of Forspoken, you can always aim for the Ultra System Requirements. This would ask that you have a minimum of 32GB of Ram, a Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 16GB, and NVMe SSD of 150GB or more. Only a select few gamers may get to use the Ultra System Requirements, but that is no big deal. Most gamers do not play on the recommended settings as it is and with some of these requirements being out of the ballpark for some gamers, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if most gamers don’t even reach the recommended requirements for Forspoken.

If you planned on purchasing Forspoken for the PC, take a look at your PC and see if what you already have is capable of running Forspoken. If it isn’t then you have two options. The first option you have is to invest into a more powerful gaming PC. The second option that you have is you can purchase a copy of Forspoken on the PS5 which will still be graphically pleasing as well. Since, finding a PS5 in 2023 is going to be much easier, you could purchase a PS5 if you wanted to go that route if you do not have one already. Purchasing a PS5 would also be drastically cheaper than buying a gaming PC that has the recommended System Requirements to run Forspoken.
