Cyberpunk 2077 had a widely scrutinized launch with a variety of bugs but has made a huge comeback since. After initially skipping out on the game due to these bugs, it seems that Microsoft will be adding the title to Xbox Game Pass soon.

A Reddit user posted an image of the game via the Xbox store showing the Game Pass tag underneath the game’s description. Personally, if this is true, I’m glad I held off on purchasing it until the DLC was going to release as this may aid my wallet a bit. The Phantom Liberty DLC expansion is a story add-on and it will be the only DLC the game receives as confirmed by developer CD Projekt Red. Those waiting for the Series S/X or PS5 upgrades may have picked a perfect time to do so as the DLC will only launch on current generation consoles. This, along with the large amount of fixes installed by the developer, makes this a perfect time to jump into the game.

The game is currently for sale, sans the expansion of course, on the Xbox Store for full price of $59.99. If you missed out on the 50% off Christmas sale last month, don’t worry however, as the sale is still on for PS5 users at a discounted rate of $49.99. You can also check out the game trial on PS5 if you are subscribed to the appropriate PS Plus tier as well. If you haven’t played it yet, there’s no harm in waiting to see if the game does in fact land on Game Pass. The game initially launched to a slew of mixed reviews, but has come a long way similar to Battlefront 2 and the improvements it made.
