3. Take your time in Vampire Survivors

While you are bulldozing an army of mummies and bats, it can be daunting to see all the exp crystals they drop. You will want to sacrifice life and limb to grab it. That is a huge mistake. You should never risk diving into a swarm for the treasure. You can always retreat, circle around, and get it when the beasts are away from the area. I find myself going zig-zag a lot to get out of the mosh pits, waiting for the perfect time to get my rewards. Eventually, I will make it back to the bounty that I slaughtered for.

The terrain goes on infinitely so you can always retreat to safety. There is no advantage to risking your health for a few extra blue crystals.

4. Survival is in the bonfires

Destroying a bonfire might grant you one coin, which seems pointless, but the bonfires with health powerups are crucial for survival. You might only find 10 gold coins in a whole play through, but if you find 2-3 chickens your odds are advancing go up. Destroy every bonfire you find. You also get a nifty achievement if you destroy ten of them.

5. The bad guys

At the start of your quest, the enemies are as easy to slice through like a hot knife through butter. When you get up to level 10, you will quickly notice that the enemies will not go down without at least three shots. The temptation is to stick around and wait on them until your character kills them. Killing singular enemies becomes less important as you level up. You should focus on finding safe areas and letting all your enhancements pick off anyone. Grinding through baddies is a bad strategy compared to having room to run. Eventually, as your character gets stronger you will notice that the bigger baddies are dropping.
