Acclaimed poet, Joyce Kilmer, once wrote the poem “Trees” which famously contained the opening line:

"I think that I shall never seeA poem as lovely as a tree."

Few know this but by “poem as lovely as a tree” he actually meant “Pokemon game with more exclusives than Scarlet and Violet”. And it’s something that holds true to this day because DAMN there are a lot of version exclusives.

If you feel I may be interpreting this poem incorrectly, please feel free to send a long explanation of what the poem actually means to my editor at @mattisforreal on Twitter.

Here’s a quick rundown of the exclusives contained in each game.

So regardless of which version you pick you got 23 different Pokemon that you’ll be unable to get in your base game regardless of the fact that your Pokedex needs them to be completed. So, unless you got two Switches, two games, and *gasp* the want to socially engage people how do you do this?

Well, as much as an old man like me hates to admit it, sometimes YouTubers can be a good thing. In this case, it’s everyone Pokemon fan’s favorite Gamestop Manager endboss-looking YouTuber, Austin John of Austin John Plays fame.

Because he has the power over Pokemon fans, Austin John Plays decided to decree that specific four-digit link trade codes will be used for trading specific Pokemon, and…somehow…every Pokemon player agreed and honored this.

How well? I tried these codes last night with an extra of all of Scarlet’s Prehistoric Paradox Pokemon including Roaring Moon and within about 30 minutes I’d received all the Iron Paradox Pokemon in trade.

So without further ado, here are all the trade codes. Simply make sure your Switch is online and choose to go into one of these trades with the appropriate Pokemon.
