Is Horizon Call of the Mountain coming to PC?
Horizon Call of the Mountain is an upcoming virtual reality game set in the gorgeous world of Guerilla Games’ popular PlayStation franchise, Horizon. Set to release on February 22, 2023, Call of the Mountain is launching exclusively for PlayStation VR2. However, given Sony’s increased trend to release more and more PlayStation exclusives on PC, is there any chance that Horizon Call of the Mountain will come to PC?
At this point, nothing official has been announced. However, given that Horizon Call of the Mountain is a virtual reality game, there’s no real reason why it couldn’t also run a PC-based VR unit.
If it were to release on PC, it would probably be sometime before it arrives. It’s typically years before Sony releases a PlayStation exclusive on PC. Housemarque’s Returnal launched for PlayStation in 2021 and is just now coming to PC at some point in 2023. 2018’s God of War came to PC in early 2022. So it does take a while to get PlayStation games ported to PC.
That being said, Horizon Call of the Mountain is launching alongside the new and improved PS VR2 on February 22. Sony is likely hoping the popularity of the Horizon franchise will help increase sales of the new VR headset. If that’s the case, then Sony probably wouldn’t want to put the game on other VR headsets for a few years anyway.
Horizon Call of the Mountain stars a brand new protagonist, Ryas, a former Shadow Carja Warrior who hopes to redeem himself by investigating a grave new threat to the Sundom. Set in a first-person perspective, gameplay focuses primarily on climbing and archery as you explore the post-apocalyptic world overrun by rogue robots.
In addition to the main story, Call of the Mountain will also feature an immersive River Ride. In this relaxing experience, you and sit back and take in the gorgeous sites of the world of Horizon.

Horizon Call of the Mountain launches alongside the PS VR2 on February 22, 2023. It’s available as a standalone game for $59.99 or as part of a bundle with the PS VR2 for $599.99.
