2022 FIFA World Cup: Every country qualified for the Knockout Rounds

The 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar has just concluded the Group Stage Round. The Group Stage had some very memorable moments and some wild upsets that have made for great entertainment thus far. A tournament that had started with 32 countries broken up into 8 groups of 4 countries each has no dwindled down to just 16 countries.

The Knockout Rounds are set to begin on December 3 with two incredible matches between the United States of America vs Netherlands and Argentina vs Australia. The Knockout Rounds will carry us all the way till December 18 where the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner will be crowned.

What is great about the 2022 FIFA World Cup is that all the matchups that have taken place so far in the Group Rounds and that are about to take place in the Round of 16, can all be played in FIFA 23. If you want to prepare for the epic battle between the United States and Netherlands, you can do so right now or whenever you so choose in FIFA 23.

Round of 16 matchups for the 2022 FIFA World Cup

December 3 (Saturday)

  • Netherlands vs. United States
  • Argentina vs. Australia

December 4 (Sunday)

  • France vs. Poland
  • England vs. Senegal

December 5 (Monday)

  • Japan vs. Croatia
  • Brazil vs. South Korea

December 6 (Tuesday)

  • Morocco vs. Spain
  • Portugal vs. Switzerland

The above 16 teams have all qualified for the Round of 16 by either winning their respective group or by finishing second in their group. If your country finished in the bottom two of their group, they have been eliminated from the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Depending on where you are from and what country you are rooting for, your team may not play their match for a few more days. Anything can happen during the 2022 FIFA World Cup and that has clearly been proven so far. With the number of countries dwindling and the competition heating up, who knows what the Knockout Rounds will hold.
