NBA 2K23 is here and the courts are active with basketball action. Of course, one of the most popular modes in the game is MyCAREER, where you create a MyPLAYER and assert your dominance in the NBA and in the streets.

This year’s MyCAREER put even more of an emphasis on that, as you have to balance playing ball in the arena and out in the streets on four, distinctive streetball courts. The streetball courts contribute to your initiative of “winning over the City”, snatching it away from your rival Shep Owens who you’re clearly better than anyway.

But, before you even start this hoops adventure, you need to create your MyPLAYER. Once you do, you obviously need to upgrade him if you want to make him dominate in NBA games or in Park games against other players from around the world. This will cost you VC.

You can always buy VC with real money but, if you aren’t in the mood to open up your wallet then you can do it the good old-fashioned way by earning it in-game. Yes, thankfully, you can still get VC simply by enjoying NBA 2K23.

It can be quite a grind, I’m not going to lie, but it does feel really rewarding because you earned it by just playing. And of course, this doesn’t stop you from buying some if you need them. But, there are a few good solid ways to earn your coin and help level up your MyPLAYER. One particular way is going to feel super obvious but is most definitely effective. So, without further ado, let’s jump right into the money making.

Daily and Weekly Quests

During your story in MyCAREER, you’ll be completing a ton of quests in order to win over The City (new gen) or reign supreme on the G.O.A.T Boat (old gen). However, most of these quests don’t reward you with VC. You’ll receive plenty of clothing items which is nice so you don’t have to spend VC on apparel if you don’t want to rock the “iconic” brown shirt outfit forever. That said, it still would be nice to get VC for your efforts.

That’s where daily and weekly quests come into play. These are side missions that are separate from the main storyline in NBA 2K23.  These can range from super easy to being more on the tedious side. Things like taking selfies with certain characters or pulling off skateboard tricks consist of the easier things.

The harder stuff is usually the weekly challenges where you need to accumulate a certain amount of stats in Park games to complete those (150 points in Rec games for example). But, if you’re super competitive, you can pull these off. All in all, all of these quests can net you somewhere between 250 to 1,250 VC most of the time. It doesn’t seem like much, but every little bit counts and if you do enough, you’ll see the growth. Plus, these are every day and every week so you can collect nonstop.
