PS5: Where to buy a PlayStation 5 on Black Friday this year

The PlayStation 5 is once again one of the year’s most in-demand items. High demand coupled with supply shortages have resulted in being sold out just about everywhere. But on the eve of Black Friday, do retailers have any plans to restock the PS5 before the biggest shopping day of the year?

Where to buy a PS5 on Black Friday

Finding a PS5 on Black Friday will be no easy feat. Most retailers such as GameStop, Best Buy, Amazon and even PlayStation Direct have been sold out for weeks. They’ll occasionally get restocks but they sell out almost immediately.

Walmart confirms PS5 restock on Black Friday

Walmart has already confirmed that it will have PlayStation 5 consoles available to purchase in-store and online on Black Friday.

We don’t know how many though, so if you’re planning on going to a brick-and-mortar location, you’ll want to be there early. Walmart is closed on Thanksgiving but will open at 5:00 a.m. on Black Friday (individual store hours may vary).

Amazon sold out of PS5 consoles online

Amazon is the largest online retailer, but right now is sold out of all PlayStation 5 consoles and bundles.

Best Buy will have the PlayStation 5 Disc bundle in-store online during Black Friday week

Best Buy is another major electronic retailer and one of your best options if you’re searching for a PS5. Unfortunately, every PlayStation 5 SKU is sold out online. The official faq mentions that Best Buy stores will sell the God of War PlayStation 5 Disc bundle as an in-store-only item during Black Friday week, but there is a limited quantity.

GameStop will have some PS5 consoles in store on Black Friday

GameStop has been restocking PS5 consoles throughout the week with the option to buy online and pick up in-store. Both the digital and physical versions of the PlayStation 5 were once available but right now they are all sold out online. Keep up to date with GameStop’s inventory here.

As you can see, it’s going to be quite hard to find a PlayStation 5 this year, let alone on Black Friday. Walmart and GameStop seem to be the two best bets on the actual Black Friday day, but I would just keep refreshing all the major retailer websites as their stock varies throughout the holiday season.
