We’re just days away from the release of God of War Ragnarok. The highly anticipated sequel to 2018’s blockbuster is set to launch for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on November 9, 2022. However, when exactly you’ll be able to start playing will vary based on your region. Below are the release times for God of War Ragnarok, based on region.

  • 9 PM PT (November 8)
  • 11 PM CT (November 8)
  • 12 AM ET
  • 5 AM BST
  • 4 PM ACT

It’s worth noting that in the United States, you’ll actually be able to start playing God of War Ragnarok before November 9th. Since the game releases exactly at midnight on the east coast, those in later time zones will be able to play it a few hours earlier on November 8th.

If you’re looking to jump into God of War Ragnarok the moment it releases, your best option is to purchase the digital version of the game. This will allow you to preload the game on your PlayStation console early. Doing so means you won’t have to download it on launch day, and you also won’t have to drive to any stores to pick up a physical copy.

Preloading is actually already available for God of War Ragnarok, so if you purchased the digital version already you can go ahead and get everything ready to go on your PS5 or PS4. The game clocks in at about 90GB on PS4 and 96GB on PS5, so it’ll take a while to download depending on your internet speed. This is one of the many perks of preloading ahead of time.

Reviews for God of War Ragnarok dropped earlier this week. The game has been universally praised by critics and currently sits at a 94 on Metacritic. Not only is it poised to be Sony’s big holiday blockbuster for PlayStation, but it’s also shaping up to be a Game of the Year contender.
