Potential Eeveelutions for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Poison

This one was weird because it seems like people think Eevee needs to be an absolute horror show for it to be poison-type. But luckily, I found one that actually looks like a Poison-type Eeveelution you might actually be able to keep in your house thanks to artist, Amalry Art. Meet Sporeon!

Now, I’d probably clean it up, make the back less busy, and make it a bit more bright-eyed, but I love this concept. The mushroom on the head is something Leafeon showed us can work well. And replacing the tuft and tail with fumes or spores? Brilliant.

I think this could genuinely work out with some minor tweaks.

Rock

This one hurt my soul. People are out there talking about how they’re struggling to make a rock-type Eevee cute because it’s all brown and craggy when everyone is forgetting that gems are rocks too. We could have a crystalline one. An Eeveelution adorned with jewels. But instead, everyone’s like BROWN EEVEE IT IS.

That being said, I did find an artist that came REALLY close to something I’d want from a Rock-type Eeveelution. Artist Off-ColorDarkrai gives us Geodeon.

Not a lot of details are shown here but I love this design. I like the colors. I like that they remembered gems are rocks. I think there’s a simple elegance to this that many of the other Eeveelutions have that I thought might be difficult to capture with rock, but they did it.

Steel

I actually knew which one I wanted to go with right out the gate for this one. There are a ton of cool ideas people have had for Steel-type Eeveelutions, and a lot of robots too. But I had to go with this particular one as, when they drew it in 2019 before Sword and Shield came out, it became all over fake news articles misleading people into thinking it was really just because it looked so damned good. So here, of course, closing us out is SplatterParrot‘s Steel-type Eeveelution, “Guardeon”. Love that name.

I think part of the reason so many people were fooled is that this looks legit. The design is complex but not over the top. It’s cute. The color scheme is fun but limited. It’s Eevee as a knight and I absolutely love it. This right here will always be what I see in my head when I imagine a Steel-type Eeveelution. Forever. Well done. Ten out of ten.
