Madden 23 – NFL Week 3 Sim – 4pm Games
We’ve got quite a few exciting games to look forward to in the late afternoon slate, but perhaps none as intriguing as the Green Bay Packers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. We’ve got two Hall of Fame quarterbacks possibly meeting for the last time in their careers. And they are doing it with receiving corps. that is so banged up it was almost impossible to simulate accurately.
Jacksonville Jaguars at Los Angeles Chargers
Sim results: Jaguars 15, Chargers 13
A low-scoring affair results in an unexpected Jaguars victory. Neither Trevor Lawrence (27-52, 348 yards) nor Justin herbert (16-32, 194 yards, 1 TD) really impresses during the game. James Robinson (9 carries, 12 yards) and Travis Etienne (2 carries, 3 yards) also struggle to get anything going during the game.
Las Angeles Rams at Arizona Cardinals
Sim results: Rams 36, Cardinals 21
Matthew Stafford throws for 347 yards and three touchdowns for the Rams en route to a 36-21 victory. Cooper Kupp was, once again, Stafford’s favorite target with 10 receptions for 161 yards and two touchdowns. Kyler Murray has a decent game but completes just 51 percent of his passes while throwing for 247 yards and two touchdowns.
Green Bay Packers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Sim results: Packers 20, Buccaneers 14
There are so many injuries at receiver for these two teams that it was so hard to try and pull off this simulation accurately. I did my best to remove all of the receivers that I don’t think will be playing on Sunday and the result was a 20-14 victory for the Packers. With Sammy Watkins out and a bunch of inexperienced receivers, Allen Lazard led the Packers with six catches for 68 yards and a touchdown. That was Aaron Rodgers’ only touchdown pass as he completed 24033 passes for 286 yards. Brady completed 24-37 passes for 319 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Russell Game Jr., who is questionable in real life, led the team with seven receptions for 97 yards and a touchdown.
Atlanta Falcons at Seattle Seahawks
Sim results: Falcons 24, Seahawks 23
A struggling Kyle Pitts comes through for the Falcons in a big way, catching the game-winning touchdown pass with two seconds left. It gives the Falcons their first win of the season. Falcons rookie receiver Drake London catches four passes for 42 yards and a touchdown.
