Madden 23 started off the season with an 8-7 record in simulation predictions. But Week 1 of the 2022 NFL Season was full of surprises that I don’t think anyone saw coming.

Any given Sunday, though, and that’s why even the craziest Madden simulation predictions could prove true. So once again we turn to Madden 23 for a prediction of the Week 2 slate of games. As per usual, we simulated each game of the week to predict the outcomes.

Here’s how Madden 23 believes Week 2 will play out.

Madden 23 – NFL Week 2 Sim – 1pm Games

Week 2 kicks off with an incredible AFC matchup between the Dolphins and Ravens. Both teams enter the week coming off big wins and have high expectations for the season. Are the Dolphins legit contenders? We’ll get a good idea this week as they face the Ravens.

We’ve also got the Browns against the lowly Jets and the Commanders against the gritty Lions. Honestly, these games could go either way.

Miami Dolphins at Baltimore Ravens

Sim results: Dolphins 12, Ravens 17

After easily taking care of business against the Patriots in Week 1, the Dolphins struggle against a legitimate AFC contender. Tua Tagovailoa fails to throw for a touchdown, completing 22 of 37 passes for 234 yards. Waddle leads the team in receptions with 8 catches for 100 yards, while Tyreek Hill has a quiet day of just 4 catches for 55 yards.

Lamar Jackson is efficient, completing 14-19 passes for 173 yards and 1 touchdown. J.K. Dobbins, who is questionable for Week 2, plays and rushes for 73 yards and a touchdown.

New York Jets at Cleveland Browns

Sim results: Jets 30, Browns 25

Hopefully, you didn’t talk too much trash about the New York Jets after Week 1 because Rober Saleh has the receipts. And if Madden is correct, he’ll be coming after you as the Jets come out of Cleveland with a win. The Jets offense explodes for 30 points, led by Joe Flacco’s four touchdown passes.

Starting again for the suspended Deshaun Watson, quarterback Jacoby Brissett throws for 299 yards and 1 touchdown. Efficient, but if the Browns are to win, they need a running game. And Nick Chubb’s 10 carries for 34 yards won’t get it done.

Washington Commanders at Detroit Lions

Sim results: Commanders 29, Lions 35 (OT)

The Commanders jump out to 26-7 lead, but the Lions explode for 22 points in the fourth quarter to take the lead. A last-second field goal by Washington ties the game at 29 to force overtime, which ends on a 3-yard touchdown run by Jamaal Williams (7 carries, 21 yards, 2 TDs).

Carson Wentz and Jared Goff both throw for over 350 yards and 2 touchdowns. Curtis Samuel, who was likely claimed off waivers in a lot of fantasy leagues this week, catches 5 passes for 84 yards and a touchdown. Meanwhile, Amon-Ra St. Brown, a rising receiver for the Lions, catches five passes for 50 yards and a touchdown.
