Madden 23: Fastest quarterbacks (QBs) at launch

The quarterback position has evolved quite a bit over the years with the emergence of dual-threat speedsters like Lamar Jackson and Kyler Murray. If you’re looking to keep the defense off-balanced, you’re going to want someone who’s mobile under center.

In Madden 23, here are the fastest quarterbacks at launch:

  1. Lamar Jackson (Baltimore Ravens) – 96 Speed, 96 Acceleration, 87 Overall
  2. Kyler Murray (Arizona Cardinals) – 92 Speed, 95 Acceleration, 84 Overall
  3. Malik Willis (Tennessee Titans) – 92 Speed, 93 Acceleration, 69 Overall
  4. Justin Fields (Chicago Bears) – 90 Speed, 91 Acceleration, 74 Overall
  5. Bryce Perkins (Los Angeles Rams) – 89 Speed, 89 Acceleration, 54 Overall
  6. Josh Allen (Buffalo Bills) – 89 Speed, 92 Acceleration, 92 Overall
  7. Daniel Jones (New York Giants) – 89 Speed, 92 Acceleration, 70 Overall
  8. Desmond Riddler (Atlanta Falcons) – 88 Speed, 91 Acceleration, 70 Overall
  9. Marcus Mariota (Atlanta Falcons) – 88 Speed, 90 Acceleration, 71 Overall
  10. Jalen Hurts (Philadelphia Eagles) – 87 Speed, 90 Acceleration, 74 Overall

As you can see there are a ton of young, mobile quarterbacks in Madden 23. The list is largely the same as last year with a few new faces.

If you’re looking to rebuild a team in Franchise mode, then you really can’t go wrong with Lamar Jackson or Kyler Murray. Both are just 25 years old and have proven capable leaders on the field.

If you want to go even younger, there’s Malik Willis, the rookie quarterback drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft. Desmond Ridder is another rookie who finds himself among the top fastest quarterbacks in Madden 23. Although he’s slightly slower than Willis, he’s got a tiny 1-point advantage in the overall rating.

There’s also Justin Fields. The second-year veteran will look to improve upon his rookie season and establish himself as the “it” man in Chicago.
