Monster Hunter 6, the next mainline installment in Capcom’s fantasy action-RPG, could be called Monster Hunter Paradise. The name stems from a Discord database leak that also mentioned Xbox, PlayStation and PC as the platforms.

The leak was first reported on Twitter by user @neonaga99 and confirmed by an official Discord partner. The tweet, which has since been deleted, seemingly revealed an invite to players to claim a code for Monster Hunter Paradise, which is believed to be the sixth mainline installment in the popular franchise.

Although the original tweet has been deleted, neonaga99 followed up with a video tutorial that confirmed the leak.

Now it’s worth pointing out that we still don’t know exactly what these Monster Hunter Paradise codes are for exactly. It could be Beta access, some add-on content or something else entirely.

Capcom hasn’t officially responded to the leak and probably won’t issue a comment on the rumor. That being said, a recent Capcom leak did claim that Monster Hunter 6 is slated to arrive in Q2 FY23, which for Capcom would indicate a release by September 2023.

Monster Hunter has been one of Capcom’s most successful franchises of late. Monster Hunter: World, the fifth mainline installment, was released in 2018 and has since sold over 15 million copies worldwide. Monster Hunter World only received one expansion, Iceborn, in 2019. Needless to say, fans on Xbox and PlayStation are eager for the next full-blown adventure in the Monster Hunter franchise.

Monster Hunter Rise, meanwhile, is the most recent game in the series — released for Nintendo Switch in March 2021 — and has sold more than 10 million copies. It recently received its own fairly large expansion, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak.

If Monster Hunter Paradise is, indeed, the sixth mainline game and this leak is legit, then it would also unfortunately mean it will not be coming to the Nintendo Switch. This would likely be due to graphical intensity.
