Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings

Justin Jefferson is one of the most exciting younger receivers in the NFL, right up there with Ja’Marr Chase. Since coming into the league in 2020, Jefferson has emerged as one of the best. Unfortunately, his Madden ratings haven’t quite risen at the same pace.

In his rookie season, Jefferson amassed 1,400 yards, fourth-most in the league, on 88 receptions. He also caught seven touchdowns. In his sophomore year, he improved in all three categories with 108 receptions (4th), 1,616 yards (2nd) and 10 touchdowns (T-6th).

Jefferson hasn’t quite been doing it for as long as guys like Davante Adams DeAndre Hopkins, but he’s well on his way to becoming one of the league’s best. He began Madden 22 with an 87 overall rating but climbed to a 90. I still think that’s too low for him, but it seems EA feels he has a bit more to prove. I personally believe he’s a top-three receiver in the league and would love to see EA give him a massive boost heading into Madden 23.

It’s also worth pointing out that Jefferson has been doing this with Kirk Cousins under center. Imagine the potential with a elite quarterback tossing him the ball.
