Cristiano Ronaldo – 92 (+1)

Cristiano Ronaldo was everything Manchester United needed him to be last season. Having contributed 27 goals at the ripe age of 37, one of the greatest all-time players appears to still have a lot going for him.

I’m partial to Cristiano Ronaldo myself and personally have found more success with him in my lineup than Messi. But that’s just me. While I think Cristiano Ronaldo will find himself at the top of FIFA 23 ratings list, I don’t think the next player I have on this list will be far behind.

Kevin de Bruyne – 92 (+1)

Give this man a medal. Give this man one of the largest contracts in sports history. Give this man a higher rating in FIFA. Like many Premier League fans, I don’t particularly care for Manchester City as a club. The heavy spending on the world’s best players, and. yet the lack of success in the Champions League makes me wonder if my beloved Newcastle United will suffer the same fate. But I’ve always been a fan of Kevin de Bruyne, and this past season has made me feel like FIFA has cheated him out of a better rating.

Easily among the all-time greats in the Premier League, de Bruyne contributed 15 goals and 8 assists in 30 Premier League appearances this season. He was crucial in their Champions League run this past season, and his dribbling and pinpoint passing make him a must-have on any Ultimate Team squad. I’d even go so far as to say more important than having Messi at this point.
