Fortnite: Where to find and how to use the Grapple Gloves

Fortnite has come a very long way over the course of its lifespan. There have been a lot of updates and changes that have kept the game feeling fresh and new.

Speaking of new, one of the newest additions to Fortnite right now are the Grapple Gloves. The Grapple Gloves allow you to travel long distances in a short amount of time. They are very similar to what we saw in Fortnite Season One with Spider Man’s Web Shooters.

If you are looking to try out the Grapple Gloves, you are going to have to look in specific areas in order to find them. You just aren’t going to find them with any ordinary general loot. To find the Grapple Gloves, you must travel to one of the ten Grapple Stop locations on the Fortnite map.

1. Inside Rave Cave
2. Northwest of Logjam Lumberyard
3. East of Shifty Shafts
4. East of The Daily Bugle
5. East of Tilted Towers
6. Southwest of Greasy Grove
7. Northeast of Synapse Station
8. North of Rocky Reels
9. South of The Joneses
10. Northeast of The Joneses

When you come across one of these ten Grapple Stop locations, you definitely aren’t going to miss it. It is a bright pink shack with a pink curved antenna looking thing that comes out of the top of the shack. Each of these Grapple Stop locations usually have about three loot boxes to open. These are where you should search and will find the Grapple Gloves.

How to use the Grapple Gloves

Once you find the Grapple Gloves, it is time to use them. If you have the Grapple Gloves equipped, then you a little area will pop up on objects closest to you that you can the Grapple Gloves on. When you press the button that is used to grapple on to certain objects and let go, you will fly upwards into the sky and across a very good distance of land. You are going to have to time your release as releasing at the perfect moment will grant you even great speeds. Getting three perfect swings in a row will lead you to your max speed and you will be zipping across the Fortnite map like a pro.

When you first try out the Grapple Gloves for the first time, it is not going to be easy by any means. It will take practice to get used to them, but once you do you can travel towards or away enemies at an extremely rapid pace.

The Grapple Gloves also don’t have unlimited durability. Each set only has 30 charges which is a lot, but don’t think that you can swing around the entire map for 10 minutes straight. Once all 30 charges are up you will either need to survive without the Grapple Gloves or go to another Grapple Stop and search for another set.

Interestingly enough, you don’t only have to use the Grapple Gloves to cover long distances. You can also use them to grapple onto items and pull them towards you. This adds a whole new strategy to the Grapple Gloves and actually makes them a very powerful tool to have. If used to their max potential, the Grapple Gloves are actually one of the most important and powerful tools that you can currently use in Fortnite right now.
