There were a lot of great video games that were showcased during the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase that got us excited for a variety of different reasons. Perhaps one of the most visual stunning video games to come out of the entire showcase was Forza Motorsport. Forza Motorsport is making its way back onto Xbox consoles and PC in Spring 2023.

If you have been following the Forza franchise over the years, you will have noticed that it hasn’t been since 2017 that the Forza Motorsport title has been used. Instead, Turn 10 Studios was focusing more on their Forza Horizon series. But that is all going to change this upcoming Spring.

Something else that can be noticed is that there is also no number in the Forza Motorsport title. This is technically going to be the 8th Forza Motorsport video game in the franchise, but Turn 10 Studios has decided to leave out the number 8. This can be for a variety of different reasons, but since it will be six years since the last Forza Motorsport installment, they may just want to start “fresh.”

Besides the amazingly stunning graphics, Forza Motorsport is going to feature some major improvements from their latest installment, including a 48 times improvement in their physics simulation. There will also be a feature called Dynamic Time of Day. Dynamic Time of Day is available on every single track in the game and the visuals of the track will change with the time of day to make it extremely more realistic.

Just like racing tracks in real life, the change of weather and time of day will also affect the track surface temperature. The temperature of the track plays a huge factor in how the cars drive on each track. Your car may have less or more grip depending on the time of day and type of weather you’re racing in which will, of course, affect how your car handles. This makes Forza Motorsport one of the most realistic racing video games of all time.

One of the other things talked about in the reveal trailer and explained by Chris Esaki, Creative Director of Forza Motorsport, on Xbox Wire was how car damage would be showcased throughout the game. Because of how powerful the Xbox Series X is, car damage and details show up in immensely fine detail. Reflections are better than ever and even some of the smallest scratches from crashes and bumps that your vehicle takes will show up in more detail than it ever has before.

Forza Motorsport will be released in Spring 2023 on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Now would be a great time to invest in the Xbox Game Pass if you have not already because you will be able to play Forza Motorsport on the Xbox Game Pass as soon as it is released on day one.
