MultiVersus is an upcoming Super Smash Bros.-esque fighting game featuring characters from across the various Warner Bros. properties. The game currently features 16 playable features fan-favorite characters from super-powered DC heroes and villains like Batman, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn and Superman to loveable Looney Tunes Bugs Bunny and Taz.

The website teases that more characters will be revealed soon but a new leak has potentially given us a look at the upcoming additions to the roster. The latest leak stems from the same Reddit user who originally leaked the game, adding some credence to a list that features some wild new additions.

Having datamined MultiVersus, these are the characters that are supposedly “mostly finished”:

  • Joker – DC
  • Raven – DC
  • Gizmo – Gremlins
  • Marvin the Martian – Looney Tunes
  • Lebron James – NBA
  • Rick – Rick and Morty
  • Morty – Rick and Morty
  • Scooby-Doo – Scooby-Doo
  • Daenerys – Game of Thrones
  • The Hound – Game of Thrones
  • Wicked Witch – The Wizard of Oz
  • Godzilla – Godzilla

Of this group, Lebron James is probably the biggest surprise as he’s not much of a fighter off the court. But the NBA superstar has proven to be tough as nails and he’s gone up against some of the most terrifying Warner Bros. AI in the latest Space Jame: A New Legacy, so he’s definitely got experience in Warner Bros. mash-ups.

The next batch of characters are a little less certain, but are supposedly in the early stages of development:

  • Johnny Bravo – Johnny Bravo
  • Fred Flinstone – Flinstones
  • Samurai Jack – Samurai Jack
  • The Powerpuff Girls – Powerpuff Girls (all one Fighter)
  • The Animaniacs – The Animaniacs (also all one fighter as far as I’m aware)
  • Duck Dodgers/Daffy – Looney Tunes
  • Scorpion – Mortal Kombat
  • Ben 10 – Ben 10
  • Ted Lasso – Ted Lasso

Scorpion certainly has plenty of fighting experience and will most certainly prove to be one of the game’s most popular characters. Perhaps the most surprising character on this second list is Ted Lasso. The loveable football-turned-soccer coach from the self-titled Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso doesn’t have much fighting experience, but maybe he plans to defeat his enemies with kindness. Ted Lasso displayed excellent skills with darts, so perhaps that will be his weapon of choice in MultiVersus.

Which of these rumored characters are you most excited to see come to MultiVersus? A beta for the free-to-play platform fighter is coming in July.
