GTA 5: Here’s what’s new in Update 1.56 (patch notes)

GTA 5 was released back on September 17, 2013. We are coming up on the nine-year anniversary this September and we are still talking about this game. It goes to show you how special of a game Grand Theft Auto 5 still is and why it is one of Rockstar’s biggest video game franchises.

A brand new update was just released for GTA 5 today. In Update 1.56, Rockstar Games fixed a lot of different issues, but at the same time, there were a couple of nice little additions added to help make the game even better than it already is.

The full patch notes for Update 1.56, including what was fixed and added to GTA 5, are listed on Rockstar Games website. One of the first things noted is that a “Motion Blur” option slider has been added to the game. Motion Blur is an option that a lot of gamers like the option to have available to them. Some gamers like the option on and other like it off. It is all preference based, but at least the option is now available. What Motion Blur does in GTA 5 is when you may be driving at a really fast speed, the car may appear blurry to you because you are going so fast. It is an effect that many gamers can take it or leave it depending on the gamer themselves.

Another big change that can be seen with this new GTA 5 update is the loading times are even shorter than they were before. There is nothing worse than having to waste countless moments sitting through a loading screen. The shorter the loading screens are, the more time you will be able to dedicate playing the actual video game.

Update 1.56 has many more additions and improvements on GTA 5 which is nice to see that a game of this age is still getting worked on. The GTA 5 update was released on PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. If you haven’t gotten the chance to update your game, you can and do so now.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is already in development by Rockstar Games and when it does end up coming out, it will generate a massive number of sales and tons of playing time from gamers. Grand Theft Auto is one of the most popular video game franchises of all time and it is clear that Rockstar Games continues to do everything for the franchise to make sure it is up to date and to make sure their fans are pleased.
