4. Corbin Burnes (94 Overall)

Many pre-season baseball analysts have predicted that the Milwaukee Brewers are going to win NL Central for the 2022 season. A huge reason for those pre-season predictions is the fact that the Milwaukee Brewers have a really good pitching rotation. Part of their great pitching rotation includes the likes of Corbin Burnes who is an absolute powerhouse of an athlete.

When you see Corbin Burnes on the mound as a hitter, you know it’s going to be a long day at the park. Burnes had the lowest ERA for a starting pitcher in baseball last season with a 2.43 ERA. That was also the lowest ERA in all of baseball for a starting pitcher who pitched the required number of innings. While we have seen many ERAs lead the MLB over the course of the past few seasons, Burnes still held that feat.

Burnes also won his first Cy Young last season capturing the 2021 NL Cy Young. For only being in the MLB for 5 seasons, Burnes has already made his mark in the Majors.

He comes into MLB The Show 22 as a 94 overall and is one of the best five pitchers you can use in the video game. Burnes had a rough start to the 2022 MLB season posting a 5.40 ERA, but don’t let the one game he pitched in this year fool you. He is capable of some pretty amazing things.
