Five worst teams in MLB The Show 22
1. Oakland Athletics
You made it all this way to find out who was the worst team in MLB The Show 22 and this may come as a surprise to you. The Oakland Athletics are hands down the worst team in MLB The Show 22 and I understand why you might not have been expecting this.
It is clear that with the moves that the Oakland Athletics made this offseason, they are clearly going through a rebuild. They didn’t have a terrible 2021. In fact, they finished off the year in third place in the American League West Division with a win-loss record of 86-76. Not too shabby, but from the eyes of the Oakland Athletics management, they want to improve on that record. However, it won’t be this year.
The Athletics lost Mark Canha in free agency to the New York Mets. The Athletics also traded Matt Olsen to the Braves and Matt Chapman to the Toronto Blue Jays. That right there was three of their key pieces of their lineup. Now the best hitter that they have on the team is catcher Sean Murphy.
Another reason why the Athletics are the worst team in MLB The Show 22 is due to how they re ranked in every major team category. They are ranked 30th in Contact, 26th in Power, 30th in Pitching, 17th in Defense, and 25th in Speed. If you are ranking last in the league in Contact and last in the league in pitching, how do you expect to win games? Then you mix in fact that they are 26th in Power and 25th in Speed, it is going to be hard to do much of anything with this franchise in the game.
Now that you know that the Washington Nationals, Baltimore Orioles, Cincinnati Reds, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Oakland Athletics are the worst teams in MLB The Show 22, you can either avoid using any of these teams or try and turn these franchises around in Franchise Mode. The choice is now completely in your Ballpark.
