Five worst teams in MLB The Show 22
Gamers have already been shelling out tons of hours into MLB The Show 22. From playing the wide variety of game modes MLB The Show 22 has to offer, to playing as some of the best baseball players in the world, MLB The Show 22 has a lot for gamers to play. When playing MLB The Show 22, no one wants to play as bad teams. Sometimes it is hard to avoid, especially if one of those bad teams are one of your favorites in the MLB.
After a while, using some of MLB The Show 22’s best teams can get a little repetitive. It is surely fun to hit bombs out of every ballpark, but sometimes you want a little bit of a challenge by choosing a team other than the Los Angeles Dodgers to play as. Sometimes you want to represent your favorite MLB team even if they are one of the worst teams in the game. Whatever the case may be, it can occasionally be harder to avoid some of the bad teams in the MLB.
When you break down a list of all 30 MLB teams you come up with the following type of teams. There are the elite teams, the great teams, the middle of the pack teams who are still trying to get to the next level, and the bad teams. There are five teams that stick out as the worst teams in MLB The Show 22 simply because they don’t quite have the right roster to compete with some of the powerhouse teams in the MLB. These teams time for success will come down the line, but 2022 doesn’t feel like the year for these five teams.
5. Washington Nationals
Oh, how the tides have changed in just a few short years. The Nationals were World Series Champions not too long ago, beating the Houston Astros in Game 7 of the World Series back in 2019. Now they sit as one of the worst teams in MLB The Show 22. The Washington Nationals are the only team on this list who have a player who has an overall of 90 or higher. That is the only reason why they are the fifth worth team in the game.
Juan Soto is a 93 overall and is one of the best young studs in the MLB. Without Juan Soto, the Washington Nationals may very well finish at the bottom of the MLB standing, but luckily for them, they won’t have to think about that. If Juan Soto can stay healthy, he is a great young player to build a team around and only 23 years old.
The Washington Nationals lost two of their top players from their team in short order. Last year, Trea Turner went to the Los Angeles Dodgers and tried to help the Dodgers win the World Series. Ultimately, Trea Turner and the Dodgers fell short, but he will always be a lethal weapon in their lineup. Then during the 2021 offseason, the Nationals lost Hall of Famer Max Scherzer to the New York Mets.
The Nationals finished with a lousy record of 65-97. Without Max Scherzer, it is hard to see the Washington Nationals improving on their 65-win season from last year. With that being said, Juan Soto is going to have to be the glue that holds this franchise in place until they are able to build around him. It is a rough time to be a fan of the Washington Nationals, but once they have the right pieces, Juan Soto and the Nationals may very well contend for the World Series in the future.
