Genshin Impact: Kamisato Ayato Ascension and Talents guide

While Ayato mainly uses Normal Attacks, you shouldn’t upgrade his actual Normal Attack Talent. Much like fellow Hydro DPS Tartaglia (Childe), Ayato’s Hydro attacks actually scale from his Elemental Skill’s Talent level. Upgrade Kamisato Art: Kyouka and his Elemental Burst, Suiyuu, first.

Your priority for either will depend on what role you’re using Ayato for. On-field DPS builds should have his Skill up first, and off-field wants the Burst first. Both Talents should be leveled up to at least Lv 8 eventually.

If you play co-op frequently, it’ll be worth getting his actual Normal Attack up a few levels to make the most of the downtime between his Hydro stance.
