Genshin Impact: Best characters for Ayato teams

Kamisato Ayato is the Hydro DPS we’ve been waiting for in Genshin Impact. With the release of Genshin Impact 2.6, he has finally arrived.

Kamisato Ayato fills out the hole in the Hydro lineup, and opens up great new team compositions and combos. Here are the five best characters for Ayato team comps.

5- Thoma

The Kamisato housekeeper works well protecting his lord. Thoma’s one of the only characters who can deal off-field Pyro damage. When Thoma’s Elemental Burst is active, Normal attacks by the active character unleash a wave of fire. Ayato can then reverse-Vaporize enemies afflicted by the Pyro.

Thoma’s Shield is also great for helping Ayato resist damage interruption so he can keep his Hydro attacks going.

4 -Yun Jin

Yun Jin and Xiangling are great Supports for Ayato, and they’re both featured on his 2.6 banner to boot. Yun Jin’s Elemental Burst gives a huge Normal Attack damage boost before Damage modifiers are applied, greatly ramping up Ayato’s final damage output.

3- Xiangling

Like Thoma, Xiangling’s off-field Pyro damage helps Ayato constantly trigger Vaporize reactions. She’s even good with off-field builds of Ayato, as their Elemental Bursts play off each other.

2- Ayaka

Ayato’s sister Ayaka is one of the game’s premier Cryo DPS with a near constant uptime of Cryo Normal Attacks. With Ayato’s Elemental Burst supporting her, Ayaka can permanently Freeze enemies in their place for the entire duration of the Burst.

1- Beidou

Beidou’s Elemental Burst is one of the most powerful in the game, especially when paired with a Hydro DPS like Ayato. It creates a lightning charge that bounces between enemies. It also enables Electro-Charged reactions, further boosting the crowd control capabilities of Ayato.
