The Denver Broncos are one of the worst teams that you can play as in Madden 22. They have only one player that is rated higher than a 90 overall, FS Justin Simmons at a 92 overall. After him, all the player overalls kind of decline at a rapid pace. Even Drew Lock, the man who was supposed to lead their offense each and every game, is rated a disappointing 66 overall. That will all change in Madden 23.

In a blockbuster trade announcement, it was revealed that Russell Wilson will be traded to the Denver Broncos for quite the hefty price. Let’s take a look at what exactly both sides received and what both sides had to give up in this blockbuster announcement.

Denver Broncos Received

  • Russell Wilson
  • 4th Round Draft Pick

Seattle Seahawks Received

  • Drew Lock
  • Shelby Harris
  • Noah Fant
  • Two 1st Round Draft Picks
  • Two 2nd Round Draft Picks
  • 5th Round Draft Pick

The Denver Broncos have gone all in on this trade. Having given up four draft picks and some young talent, it’s clear the Broncos were desperate for a quarterback, and they’ve found one in Russell Wilson.

Russell Wilson is no doubt a massive quarterback upgrade for the Denver Broncos. He’s currently rated an 88 overall on the Seattle Seahawks in Madden 22 and should help players consistently deliver the ball to the offensive weapons they have in place. The Broncos are a young team but have some great talent at the receiver position and a decent offensive line. Many believe all this team was lacking was consistent quarterback play.

It will be weird to see Russell Wilson in a different NFL uniform. He spent all ten of his NFL seasons with the Seattle Seahawks and finished all but one with a winning record. His only losing season came during the 2021-2022 season where the Seattle Seahawks finished with a record of 6-8 in the fourteen games that Wilson started.

If you are a Denver Broncos fan, you probably can’t wait to see Russell Wilson in action both in the NFL and in Madden 32. While the team as an overall whole may not be the most fun to play as in Madden right now, Russell Wilson should help fix that problem slightly.

I am not saying that people are going to be chomping at the bit to play as the Broncos in Madden 23, but it will surely help the team out. If the Denver Broncos can successfully build around Russell Wilson in the foreseeable future, the Denver Broncos will be a force to be reckoned with years down the line. They also have the capability to be a top 5-top 10 ranked team in future Madden video games, instead of being a bottom 10 ranked team to play as.
