Rykard’s Great Rune (Restores HP upon defeating enemies)

Rykard will be waiting at Mt. Gelmir. The interesting thing about taking on Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy is that he has two phases that need to be defeated in order to successfully beat him. In his first phase he is the God-Devouring Serpent. This phase has its very own health bar, and the health bar needs to be depleted in full before fighting his second phase. After killing Rykard in his second phase, his Great Rune will be all yours.

Travel to Altus Plateau which is where the Sealed Tunnel is found. Travel through the Sealed Tunnel and you will eventually find the Divine Tower of West Altus where restore power to his Great Rune and continue on your journey to capture all seven Great Runes.

Mohg’s Great Rune (Grants a blessing of blood to phantoms)

The seventh and final Great Rune in Elden Ring is Mohg’s Great Rune. Mohg, Lord of Blood, can be found in Mohgwyn Palace, which is right below Caelid. This is only accessible from a gateway teleporter in the frozen north of Consecrated Grounds. If you want to eventually restore power to this Great Rune, you will need to follow the Capital Outskirts ramparts to the Divine Tower of East Altus.

However, before you are able to actually get to the Divine Tower, you must defeat the Fell Twins boss. Once they are defeated then you are able to access the tower and restore power. Once power has been restored you are able to use this Great Rune to grant a blessing of blood to summoned phantoms and impart a Phantom Great Rune upon successful invasion. Sounds like a blast, doesn’t it?

These are all seven Great Runes that you are able to acquire and use in Elden Ring. This is something that will take a lot of time and preparing, but the powers and satisfaction of completing this task will be well worth it in the end. Obviously, I wouldn’t rush into try to defeat any Demi-Gods that you aren’t ready to take on. Trust me, Elden Ring is a very tough video game, and it will require a lot of patience.
