How to get Apex Legends on mobile early during Limited Regional Launch

Apex Legends will be making the jump to mobile, starting with a limited regional launch in March 2022. Here’s everything you need to know, from how to get Apex Legends on mobile to where you can play it.
How to get Apex Legends on mobile early during Limited Regional Launch
The Apex Legends mobile port will go into what Respawn calls a “Limited Regional Launch”. Basically, the game will be released in a sort of beta state in 10 countries to test out the new client.
Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Mexico, Peru, Argentina and Colombia will be the first wave of countries to get the game on iOS and Android. If you’re in any of those 10 countries, you can pre-register for Apex Legends mobile now.
Respawn didn’t give a reason why these countries were chosen in particular, but it seems to me that these are all locations with high mobile player bases.
If you (like many of our readers) are from the United States and Europe, you’ll have to go without unless you use a VPN to get on one of those servers. Even if you manage to download Apex Legends Mobile during this early launch, you’ll be fighting some gnarly ping and latency from using a datacenter that far away.
You’re not missing out on too much, at least. The game will be heavily stripped down for the Limited Regional Launch. Only Bloodhound, Gibraltar, Lifeline, Wraith, Bangalore, Octane, Mirage, Pathfinder and Caustic will be playable from the start. Game modes will also be limited.
The mobile version is still in development, so there are some system requirements to run the game. You’ll need either an iOS device with at least 2GB RAM or an Android device with at least 3GB RAM.
Phones from Vivo, Oppo, Huawei, Motorola, Samsung, Lenovo and Xiaomi will be supported with 2GB RAM, and further support is in development.
Notably, the mobile Apex will not have cross-play, as the game will be designed specifically for mobile. It’s not known yet if the game will function closely to the original, or if controllers will be supported.
With Fortnite still out of commission on mobile, Apex might just take the crown as players around the world are hungry for some battle royale action on the go.
